Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron. Resides at Return To Freedom American Wild Horse Sanctuary in Lompoc, CA. Spirit serves as a prominent ambassador of the Kiger Mustang breed. He was the inspiration and model for the artists and animators during the making of the 2002 Dreamworks animated film. Spirit is a Kiger Mustang and is listed in the Steens Mountain Kiger Registry as Donner of Steens Mountain from the high desert of southeastern Oregon.
